While I’m not a fan of gril- smoking (maybe because of a 22 year-old grill I keep resurrecting), I used a package of the “Jack Daniels” pelletsin my 6″ A-Maz-En tube for veggies (beets, poblano peppers, zucchini) & burger patties. I got a nice smoke flavor….not overpowering! My only “complaint” is that I got combustion merely by placing the tube on my GrillGrate (over low heat. While I’m at it, I’d like to “hype” GrillGrates……despite the cost, I feel GrillGrates are, at least for me, the best single thing to come “down the pike” since the invention of the gas grill….and I’ve been grillin’ for 50 years. I’ve been able to grill my BEST EVER: steaks, pork chops, veggies, chicken, burgers. I just wish I would have come up with the idea!!!!!!!!!
