While I think the grill is great and cooks very well, it doesn’t fit well on the oven slides. It fits on the 3rd rack, but has slipped off if not careful. Bottom two racks it has to sit on the oven rack. Still useable but not as intended. A bit wider would be nice, as well. Brad here Elaine- we’ve slightly modified the length AND we’ve learned that there Anova also has some dimension issues. You are correct that you can use on top of the stock rack. BUT it is sweet to use as stand alone shelf. We’ve been running the heck out of our Anova here in our test kitchen- it’s a hell of a powerful cooker1
