Brushed GrillGrates then sprayed with cleaner let it set over 10 minutes, like instructions say then brushed again. Grates were no more cleaner than just brushing like I always do. Brad here- it can be deceiving but you are removing black char. If you take a paper towel and rub down the raised rails you will notice it doesn’t blacken. I will also add I only use the cleaner occasionally on the GrillGrates and actually more on the grill exterior. It works really well to keep my grills clean. IF you clean the GrillGrates well with the cleaner I suggest using an onion to re-season- it does remove that top layer and leaves a drier surface.
